Overview
The CNC Machinist I position contributes to the production of medical devices by operating and performing basic set‑ups of CNC 2 and 3 Axis machines, with the ability to identify X, Y, Z, and 0 coordinates. The machinist runs multiple and varying CNC machines simultaneously, such as lathes, EDM wire, and plunge machines, in addition to operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish quality products with some supervision. Experience with CNC machining in a manufacturing work environment is required.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machines and report directly to the area supervisor.
- Perform basic machining functions to produce parts.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
- Monitor the machine to ensure proper program performance.
- Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
- Make off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
- Advocate for the health and safety of self, co‑workers, customers, and the community.
- Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Complete all required training.
Education Qualifications
- High School or Equivalent (Preferred)
Experience Qualifications
- Lean Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
- Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (Preferred)
- 1+ Years of Experience Operating Machining Equipment in a Manufacturing Environment (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
- Machining Trade School (Preferred)

Working Conditions
Pay Rate
For positions located in California, pay for this job type falls within the following range and varies based on scope and complexity of job responsibilities: $17.26 – $23.00 per hour. As this position is assigned to the 2nd Shift, a 10% premium is added to the base hourly pay rate for all hours worked during that shift.
