Job summary

Jobot in Britton, SD is seeking a CNC Machinist for the second shift (Mon-Thu 3:30pm–2:00am). The role offers a four-day work week, solid benefits starting day one, and a 4% 401(k) match with bonus potential.

You will set up and operate mills/lathes, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specs while supporting teammates in a stable manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has experience with mills or lathes, understands blueprints, and can collaborate effectively within a small, growing

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating mills and/or lathes or completion of a two-year technical program.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Strong communication and collaboration with team members.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Intermediate inspection and measurement skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of machine setup and operation.
• Solid math abilities.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts machine settings, programs, and tooling to meet specs.
• Supports junior machinists with setups and guidance.
• Runs one or more machine tools to produce parts.
• Performs routine maintenance on machines.
• Operates across multiple machines in the cell as directed.
• Sets up and operates tools in the work cell.
• Performs additional tasks to support team and company goals.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts machine settings, programs, and tooling to ensure finished components meet required specifications.
• Supports junior machinists by helping with more advanced or challenging setups.
• Runs one or more machine tools to efficiently produce high-quality parts.
• Completes routine daily and weekly maintenance on assigned machines.
• Works across multiple machines within the cell as directed by the area manager.
• Sets up and operates machine tools located in the work cell.
• Performs additional tasks as needed to contribute to the team’s and company’s overall success.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating mills and/or lathes as a CNC machinist, or completion of a two-year technical program, is required.
• Ability to interpret and understand blueprints.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Intermediate-level skills in inspection and measurement.
• Fundamental knowledge of machine setup and operation.
• Solid basic math abilities.
