Job Responsibilities

We are adding a CNC Machinist to our Peculiar facility to operate CNC machining equipment to manufacture parts as designed. Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC vertical machining centers and CNC lathes to perform various machining operations. The ideal candidate is qualified, motivated, and willing to multitask and cross-train on all machines.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Be computer literate with knowledge of machining applications.
• Recognize improper machine functioning and defects in machinery or measuring instruments.
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure they meet blueprint specifications.
• Perform side operations (e.g., deburring) while CNC machines are running.
• Operate multiple CNC machines simultaneously.
• Setup machines and understand G & M codes.
• Maintain a clean work area and machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Self-starter with good communication skills, able to work independently.
• At least 5 years of experience in CNC machining.
• Ability to operate CNC lathes and mills, read drawings and spec sheets.
• Understanding of Trigonometry related to angles and machining.
• Own tools for machining.
• Proficiency in reading micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and surface plates.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others and under pressure.
• High School diploma or equivalent; trade school or specialized training preferred.
