Job description

Job Description:

Fabrication will include the ability to machine hardware and fixtures utilizing CNC Machines and Lathes to Engineering Drawing specifications.

Should also be able to work with Sheet Metal to fabricate boxes and panels when required.

In addition, these lower-level assemblies are to be built-up into single, or multi-bay cabinet assemblies, for delivery to Engineering or Manufacturing Production areas.

This position offers the opportunity for the candidate to work as an individual contributor in a team environment, collaborating with Engineers, Fabricators, Draftsmen, Procurement, and Quality Inspectors.

Required Experience:

• 5 years in mechanical fabrication environments, including CNC Machines, Lathes, or military design product maintenance.
• 5 years fabricating mechanical equipment from blueprints, schematics, and engineering guides.
• 5 years communicating issues verbally and in writing with design and process teams.
• Proficiency with software tools and Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to determine metal stretch based on metal type and bend radius.
• Experience fabricating test equipment from blueprints, schematics, BOM, and engineering manuals.
• Self-starter capable of performing tasks with minimal supervision.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to program CNC machines using Catia-based software.
• Experience in procurement and testing material acquisition.
• Experience interpreting and building to Test Equipment engineering specifications.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
