Share this job:Share MP Machinist II/CNC Machinist I - 2nd shift (M - Th 3:15 - 1:45 AM) with a friend via e-mailOur Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesRole/Purpose:The MP Machinist II is responsible for set-up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts while maintaining quality and safety standards.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Physically and systematically receive and verify raw material receipts* Ability to safely load and unload material both manually and utilizing a forklift* Communicate material location changes with inventory team* Deburr parts and help ensure quality standards are met* Following the work schedule as assigned and ability to layout the correct priorities for the work scheduled* Ensure all parts produced is confirmed in SAP, tagged and staged in proper locations* Perform cycle counting as required* Install machine programs and modifications as required* Operates any 1 CNC Mill (Haas TM, Haas VF, Doosan DNM5700) or CNC Lathe (Haas SL30, Haas ST40, Doosan Lynx 2600) or plastic routers* Performs routine preventative maintenance on machinery* Performs Quality at the Source checks on made parts* Accurately records actual labor estimates on all production orders* Keeps work area(s) clean and organized to 5S standards* Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for long periods of time* Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.* Adheres to all company policies and procedures* Other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:* Ability to work with basic hand tools, squaring and straight edge tools* Ability to safely load and unload machines with various materials* Ability to prioritize and problem solve* Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and engineered drawings* Basic to intermediate SAP system experience* Basic Lean Manufacturing understanding* Ability to multi-task* Ability to perform duties using imperial and metric measurements* Able to follow written and oral instructions* Ability to work in high paced environment* Basic knowledge of set-up functions* Ability to be detailed oriented* Safety awarenessThis position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law. \*\*OVERTIME MAY BE REQUIRED BASED ON BUSINESS NEEDS.\*\*Minimum Education / Experience Required:* High School diploma or equivalent* 1-2 years of experience in similar environment/position OR * Meets all internal Mfg.
