Job summary

Rosenboom Machine & Tool Inc is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and program a variety of CNC machines for precision metal components production. Candidates should understand G-code programming, read blueprints, and apply shop math to ensure parts meet engineering specs.

The role requires hands-on machining or programming experience, with preferred experience on CNC mills/lathes and strong problem‑solving abilities to minimize downtime and maintain quality.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CNC machining or programming experience.
• Experience with CNC mills and/or lathes.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Solid shop math skills including fractions, percentages, ratios and basic trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes.
• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code, CAD/CAM).
• Interpret technical drawings and production instructions.
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure conformance to specs.
• Diagnose and resolve machining/programming issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep workspace clean.

Compensation:

• Pay will be based on experience, and a skills test will be administered during the interview process.

• $2,600 sign-on bonus

• This is an off-shift position - 2nd or 3rd shift - $3/hr shift premium

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist with programming experience to set up, operate, and program a variety of CNC machines for the production of precision metal components. This role requires a solid understanding of mechanical principles, G-code programming, machining techniques, and shop math to ensure efficient, accurate part production per engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs (G-code, CAD/CAM experience ) for precision and efficiency

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and production instructions

• Measure and inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications

• Diagnose and resolve machining and programming issues to maintain quality and minimize downtime

• Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Key Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in CNC programming (G-code/M-code)

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

• Strong understanding of machining processes and sequence logic

• Solid skills in shop math, including:

  • Fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions

  • Basic algebra, geometry, and introductory trigonometry

• Experience with big bore

• Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with machining tools and techniques

• Strong problem-solving skills, especially in complex or non-standard situations

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in CNC machining or programming, or equivalent technical training

• Experience with CNC mills and/or lathes preferred
