Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a Machinist in Huntley, IL to set up and operate CNC and manual equipment to manufacture metal components. The role requires reading blueprints and using precision gauges to ensure parts meet specifications.

Responsibilities include editing CNC programs for Haas/Hardinge lathes, tooling changes, and safe, efficient operation. Direct-hire positioning with a daytime shift.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient reading of blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Skilled with precision measuring instruments to verify part quality.
• Familiarity with Haas and/or Hardinge equipment preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Haas and Hardinge lathes, including editing programs and offsets using G-code.
• Set up and operate manual machining equipment including engine lathes, turret lathes, Bridgeport-style mills, drill presses, and tapping machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to produce quality parts.
• Inspect finished components using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Perform tooling changes, machine adjustments, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Pay Rate: $25.00 - $35.00/hour

Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM (1st Shift)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machinist to set up and operate a variety of CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture quality metal components. This position requires strong machining skills, blueprint reading abilities, and experience using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet customer specifications.
