Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a CNC Setup Technician & Operator in Huntley, IL. The role requires setting up and operating Haas CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components per drawings and specifications.

You will read blueprints, perform inspections with calipers and micrometers, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to sustain quality and production efficiency. Monday–Saturday shift, direct hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with ≥2 years CNC setup/operation experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficiency with calipers and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (Haas lathe and mill), including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and parameters.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to produce parts within specifications.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor machining processes and make adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and quality issues while collaborating with engineering and quality teams.

Pay Rate: 22-25/hr BOE
Schedule/Shift: Monday–Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Employment Type: Direct Hire Role

Summary

The CNC Setup Technician & Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications. This role ensures efficient production while maintaining high-quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (Haas lathe and mill), including tooling, fixtures, offsets, and parameters
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to produce parts within specifications
