Job summary

Godshall & Godshall Personnel Consultants, Inc. seeks an experienced CNC Operator/Machinist for 2nd and 3rd shifts in Greer, SC.

You will set up and operate CNC grinders, perform program edits, and machine carbide steel components with tight tolerances for aerospace, defense, and related industries. Ideal candidates have an AS in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent, strong setup skills, and can read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machines (grinders, mills & lathes)
• Strong setup experience, including making program edits at the machine
• Experience working in tight tolerances
• Experience working with carbide steel or similar hard materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions
• Willingness to work 2nd, or 3rd shift
• Ability to work in an ITAR/Defense-regulated manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines (mostly grinders)
• Perform program edits at the machine as needed
• Machine carbide steel components used in drill bits and cutting tools
• Hold very tight tolerances and ensure parts meet strict quality standards
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools
• Follow all ITAR, quality, and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with team members across all shifts

Salary: $23.50-$25.00/hour $2.00/hour shift premium for 2nd shift $3.00/hour shift premium for 3rd shift
