Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC machines, read blueprints, and uphold quality and safety standards.

Under minimal supervision, you will set up, program when needed, and maintain machine logs while performing various machining operations with precision tools. The role requires at least 2 years of production machining experience and familiarity with Mazak or Hurco machines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a production environment.
• Experience with Mazak and Hurco CNC machines preferred.
• Experience performing set-ups and programming preferred.
• Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Completes machine set-ups per provided work instructions.
• Performs basic machine operations including loading, unloading and de-burring completed parts.
• Performs a variety of machining operations using hand tools and gauges.
• Helps problem solve and troubleshoot production issues.
• Reads blueprints, job orders and work instructions for specifications including dimensions and tolerances.
• Performs regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on assigned machines as well as daily preventative maintenance.
• Maintains and updates machine logs and other documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Amphenol Borisch Technologies is currently seeking a CNC Machinist for our facility in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Under minimal supervision, the CNC Machinist produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Completes machine set-ups per provided work instructions
• Performs basic machine operations including loading, unloading and de-burring completed parts
• Performs a variety of machining operations using hand tools and gauges
• Helps problem solve and troubleshoot production issues
• Reads blueprints, job orders and work instructions for specifications including dimensions and tolerances

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a production environment

• Experience working with CNC machine feeds and speeds
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
