Job summary

Amphenol Borisch Technologies is seeking a Cable Assembly Operator to perform wire and cable assemblies according to schematics. You will read diagrams, assemble wires into harnesses, solder connections, and ensure quality through precise measurement and inspection.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read schematics, eye-for-detail, and the physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds; full-time hours and US benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Regularly sit, stand and walk.
• Vision exam to inspect work at close distance.
• Read wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics.
• Accurately use measuring tools and do basic math.
• Use tools required for wire harness assembly.
• Keen attention to detail and quality.
• Able to bend, stoop and reach.
• Lift up to 35 pounds.

The Cable Assembly Operator is responsible to correctly and efficiently complete wire and cable assemblies.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Read wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics for cable assembly.
• Assemble wires into cables and harness systems per schematic drawings.
• Wrap and tie wires at designated points to form harness.
• Assemble electrical components, systems and/or subsystems.
• Use automatic and hand held wire strippers for wire ends.
• Measure wires and finished cable assemblies for quality.
• Solder parts or connections between parts.
• Solder, wrap, and coat wires to ensure proper installation.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must be able to regularly sit, stand and walk
• Must be able to pass a Vision exam to inspect work at a close distance
• Must be able to read and understand wire diagrams, blue prints and schematics
