Job summary

Fettig Jobs is hiring a CNC Machinist in the Grand Rapids area to operate lathe and milling machines, follow blueprints, and program machines as needed. The role requires precision, math skills, and the ability to read specifications, with a focus on quality and safety.

The position is 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7am–4:30pm, temporary for about 12 weeks. Pay ranges from $28 to $30 per hour, with weekly pay and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machines and following blueprints.
• Basic electrical skills and measurement accuracy are required.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM and hydraulic systems is preferred.

This position is on 1st shift paying $28 - $30 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathe and milling machines
• Follow blueprints and product specifications to produce materials
• Cut and shape products according to specific measurements and outlines
• Adjust machines as needed to ensure the highest quality product is continuously made
• Identify preventative maintenance and perform fixes when needed
• Follow safety procedures and protocols
• Hydraulic assembly

Requirements

• CNC experience
• Electrical skills (basic understanding)
• Metal component assembly experience
• Pipe bending skills and hydraulic system knowledge
• Math and measuring skills
• CAD and CAM knowledge
• Lift up to 50lbs regularly
• High school education or GED
