Job summary

Opti Staffing seeks a CNC Machinist for their Forest Grove facility. The role involves programming in G-code, setting up and operating two machines (an old Mazak and a new Flex 22-ft table), and ensuring quality and safety across production runs.

You will work with aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and brass, maintaining records and leading junior operators. DOE; competitive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Capable of creating CNC G code utilizing CAD/CAM software.
• Read and understand drawings.
• Experience machining metals (carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, aluminum).

Responsibilities

• Program CNC in G-code using CAD/CAM software.
• Set up and operate Mazak and a Flex 22-ft table with two machines.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are followed.
• Maintain accurate records and oversee equipment/supplies.

They began as a supplier of group operator air break disconnects, their product line has evolved to include motor operators, ground switches, surge suppression resistors, unitized phase-over-phase designs, to mention a few.What You’ll Do:The CNC Machinist plays a key role in the production process, responsible for machining parts made out of aluminum, copper, stainless steel, and brass by programming in G-code, setting up, and operating two different machines: an old Mazak and a brand-new Flex 22-ft table.
