Job description

Join to apply for the CNC Machinist role at GENERAL TOOL COMPANY.

Using your experience, set up and prove out programs on 4 or 5 axis CNC milling machines and machining centers to machine complex parts from various metals and composites to meet the tight tolerances required in the aerospace and defense industries. Shift

• 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts starting at 5:30 am)
• 2nd Shift (There are various options for 2nd shift)

Responsibilities

• Work from routed instructions, manufacturing process plans, blueprints, and verbal instructions under moderate supervision
• Plan and make set-ups using needed tools for the CNC program per the set-up sheet
• Use a variety of hand-held measuring instruments
• May write programs at the machine
• Download and upload programs at the machine
• Complete accompanying routers as operations are successfully finished before moving to the next

Qualifications

• High school career machine trades program is preferred
• G&M coding experience
• Ability to read blueprints and working knowledge of GD&T
• Mechanical and spatial aptitude
• Must have own tools
