Kaleidoscope Innovation, an Infosys company, is expanding our Prototyping Shop. This role is for first shift, seeking someone with prior programming and manual machining experience.

Job Summary

The CNC (Computer Numerical Controls) Prototype Machinist Programmer creates machine parts and tools using precision computer equipment, develops instructions for manufacturing, and inspects finished products to ensure specifications are met.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC equipment (3rd, 4th, or 5th axis interpolation) daily.
• Perform regular maintenance on all precision computer equipment.
• Program tool paths for CNC applications; test programs for proper operation.
• Inspect completed parts/tools to verify specifications.
• Create documentation detailing programming processes and update as needed.
• Develop new designs and modifications based on client requirements.
• Review schematics, blueprints, and related documentation.
• Report issues to the Shop Manager during production.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical drafting experience with AutoCAD/SolidWorks.
• 5-10 years related experience.

Skills & Knowledge

• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling software (SolidWorks, Unigraphics, etc.).
• Understanding of drills, lathes, and milling equipment operation.
• Knowledge of CNC safety regulations.
• Familiarity with machine parts and processes.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
