Qualifications

  • Experience with CNC machining or manufacturing is preferred; entry‑level welcome.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T.
  • Strong math basics and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
  • Interpret drawings, blueprints, and GD&T to ensure accuracy.
  • Use calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM to verify tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot tooling issues.
  • Select and adjust tooling and fixtures for optimal machining performance.
  • Conduct quality checks during production to meet specifications.
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to improve processes using lean principles.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following all safety protocols.
  • Assist with assembly or material handling tasks as needed.

Job description: A manufacturing company in Chesapeake is seeking both experienced and entry‑level CNC Machinists to join their team. The ideal candidate will set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce precision components using CAD software. The position offers hands‑on experience with advanced manufacturing equipment, a dynamic work environment, and opportunities for career growth within the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, CMM) to verify tolerances.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Once hired full-time, the company offers the following benefits:
