Summary:
The CNC Machinist sets up and operates computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to perform machining operations including milling, lathes, large horizontal and vertical lathes.
Responsibilities:
The Ideal Candidate Possesses the Following Experience, Skills, And Abilities:
One year Machine Tool Operation certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior experience with precision inspection equipment including, but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges.
Mathematical Skills:
The ideal candidate can work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
