Job summary

Metals USA in Tulsa, OK is seeking a CNC Machine Trainee for the 2nd shift. The role involves assisting with setup, operation, and quality checks on multiple machines under supervision, interpreting blueprints, and using measuring tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Advanced reading and writing comprehension in English.
• Advanced measuring skills with tape measure, caliper, gauges or micrometer.
• Must be mechanically adept and able to perform arithmetic calculations.
• Experience operating overhead crane / forklift preferred.
• Proficient with hand tools including grinders.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Positions work pieces for processing.
• Operates multiple machines to process material by cutting, burning, sawing, blasting, shearing, punching, grinding, bending, or pressing.
• Uses gauges and rulers for measurement.
• Reviews blueprints and work orders to plan processing.
• Installs and aligns dies, blades or fixtures in machines.
• Adjusts controls for speed, depth, and feed rates; troubleshoots issues.
• Performs quality inspections on finished product; possibly In Process Quality Inspections.
• Coordinates material handling and operation of overhead crane.
• Completes work order paperwork/documentation.
