Metals USA -- Gregor Technologies Division is seeking a CNC Milling Machine Operator in Torrington, CT for 2nd shift. This role involves setting up programs, loading material, and inspecting parts to ensure compliance with prints.

You will adjust machine parameters as needed, perform daily maintenance, and keep thorough production documentation. Candidates should have a High School diploma and strong math/mechanical aptitude; CAD/CAM literacy is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Ability to comprehend oral and written communication.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, documents and blueprints.
• Ability to read measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and gauges.
• Must be organized with attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Professional demeanor and reliability.
• Computer literacy with CAD/CAM knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up machine with correct program, tools and material.
• Load material manually or with mechanical aids.
• Inspect part for conformance to print.
• Adjust program and machine settings to meet specs.
• Notify team lead of problems during runs.
• Complete production paperwork and data collection.
• Perform scheduled maintenance per machine specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and return tools.
• Report product or equipment discrepancies and injuries.
