Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Shop Technician II to join the Rotating Equipment Services team in Madison, PA. You will machine, assemble, repair, and refurbish components, conducting electrical, mechanical, and visual inspections to ensure quality and safety.

This role requires on-site work five days a week at the Waltz Mill facility and reporting to the RES Shop Supervisor. Relevant electrical/mechanical/machining experience and high school diploma are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in electrical, mechanical, machining or inspection roles.
• Knowledge of electrical/mechanical drawings or machining plus math.
• Journeyman papers in electrical or machining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical inspections using test equipment (Megger, DLOR, Fluke).
• Operate machine tools (drill press, lathes, mills) and basic welding as needed.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair and reassemble mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
• Conduct visual inspections and verify insulation, windings, and stator components.
• Maintain safety standards and adhere to ALARA and nuclear safety requirements.
• On-site supervision and coordination with RES Shop Supervisor; five days/week on site.
