Job summary

At Poclain Hydraulics, we power infrastructure and drive global industry with innovative hydraulic solutions. The North American operation in Sturtevant, WI seeks a hands-on CNC Machining Technician to operate and set up CNC centers, including turning, grinding, and heat-treating equipment.

You will work with Fanuc-controlled Mori turning centers, perform tool changes and offsets, inspect parts with precision tools, and support continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machines (turning, grinding, or similar).
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls and machining cells.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret tolerances.
• Basic math skills and precision measurement understanding.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machining centers, including turning, grinding, and heat-treating equipment
• Work with Fanuc-controlled machines (Mori turning centers) and other advanced machining systems
• Perform basic to intermediate machine setups, including tooling adjustments and offsets
• Inspect parts using precision measurement tools and document results per process sheets
• Maintain strict adherence to quality standards, work instructions, and SOPs
• Troubleshoot minor machining issues and elevate as needed
• Support continuous improvement and efficiency efforts on the shop floor
• Train and support entry-level operators as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Participate in safety audits and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation (5S standards)
• Other duties, as assigned.
