Job summary

Allegion Canada Inc. is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate basic CNC equipment, cutting, punching, forming, drilling and machining parts per drawings.

You will perform loading/unloading, tool changes, and routine equipment checks to ensure smooth production. The role emphasizes quality control, safety and teamwork; you will document production counts, inspect parts with basic tools, follow detailed instructions, and collaborate with engineers and QC staff.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; entry-level role, no experience required.
• Familiarity with machining techniques, tools, and equipment; basic computer literacy.
• Strong communication, safety awareness, and ability to work with a team.

Responsibilities

• CNC Operations: Set up and operate basic CNC functions following detailed instructions and established procedures to cut, punch, form, drill, pulse, spin, mill and stamp parts per drawings.
• Perform repetitive tasks such as loading/unloading parts, attaching components, and operating hand tools.
• Conduct basic equipment checks to ensure tools and machines are operational.
• Follow step-by-step written or verbal instructions for machine setup and operation.
• Quality Assurance: Perform routine quality inspections using basic measurement tools (e.g., rulers, tape measures).
• Identify and segregate defective parts for supervisor review.
