Job summary

Terex Corporation in Huron, SD is seeking a Machining Programmer to support Utilities Operations. You will work with manufacturing engineers to program and operate CNC equipment, review CAD models, and determine the best sequence of machining steps to meet customer demand.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent and experience with GibbsCam or Mastercam. You will generate CAM code, test quality, implement improvements, and work closely with ME staff to ensure parts meet specs.

Qualifications

• 2 Year Associates Degree (Programming and/or Robotics preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years related work Experience with GibbsCam or Mastercam preferred.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate a variety of CNC equipment safely and efficiently.
• Review CAD models and blueprints.
• Define the best sequence of machining steps.
• Decide tools, speeds, feeds, and fixtures to be used.
• Generate program code using CAM software.
• Conduct quality testing and improve code to increase efficiency.
• Own improvement projects aligned with company objectives.
• Participate in problem-solving activities to find optimal solutions.
• Engage in team meetings and communicate progress.
• Use cost-analysis tools and project trackers to prioritize work.
• Work with ME staff to ensure products meet requirements.
