Job summary

Manpower is seeking a CNC Machine Operator in Alexandria, MN to support production in a manufacturing environment. You will operate CNC turning centers and mills, read process sheets and blueprints, mount workpieces, and start machining with precision.

This role requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least 1 year in a factory setting, ability to read blueprints, basic math, and the stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend shift: Friday to Sunday, 5:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of factory/manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, process sheets, and instructions.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC horizontal lathes, mills, or turning centers to perform machining operations.
• Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine operating requirements.
• Mount workpieces securely and begin machining to ensure precision and quality.
• Perform in-process inspections and spot checks to verify conformance to specifications.
• Monitor coolant levels and perform basic machine adjustments as needed.
