Job summary

Penmac Staffing Services, Inc. in Aitkin, MN is hiring for Machine Operator and CNC Machinist roles (Entry–Advanced) on 1st shift, Mon–Thu 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a 3-day weekend each week.

Positions are full-time with pay ranges: Machine Operator $17–$20/hour; CNC Machinist $20–$30/hour (higher for advanced skills). Responsibilities include operating machinery, performing quality checks, following safety protocols, and supporting setup and tooling changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Machine Operator: 0–6 months manufacturing experience.
• Machinist I/II: 0–2+ years machining experience depending on level.
• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (or willingness to learn for entry-level roles).
• Basic to moderate math skills (fractions, decimals, conversions).
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery to produce metal components and meet daily production goals.
• Perform quality checks and maintain accurate counts of materials and finished products.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Assist with tooling changes, deburring, and basic machine setup.
• Machinist roles: Perform setups, adjustments, troubleshooting, and some programming edits.
• Identify and report machining issues promptly.
• Work across departments as needed and support production efficiency.

Machine Operator & CNC Machinist (Entry–Advanced) – 1st Shift | Aitkin, MN Penmac Staffing is now hiring for multiple manufacturing positions including Machine Operator, CNC Machinist I, and CNC Machinist II for a trusted employer partner in Aitkin, MN. These are full-time, 1st shift roles working Monday–Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., offering a 3-day weekend every week.

• Machine Operator (Entry Level): $17–$20/hour
• CNC Machinist: $20–$30/hour (higher pay considered for advanced skills or programming experience)
