Job summary

Equus Workforce Solutions is seeking a Machining & CNC Instructor to guide young adults ages 16–24 through hands-on machining with lathes, mills, CNC setup, and blueprint reading. You will teach safe shop practices, assess progress, and help students earn industry credentials in a supportive, safety-focused environment.

You will collaborate with a team to track attendance, update records, and prepare reports while aligning coursework to standards and training goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in vocational trade required.
• Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state where the center is located or by a professional trade organization.
• Experience working with diverse youth.
• A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Promotes a positive and desirable atmosphere within the classroom to ensure student motivation.
• Maintains discipline to ensure maximum learning.
• Functions as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Career Technical Training.
• Presents lessons using multimodal approaches for various learning styles.
• Establishes strong student/instructor rapport and prepares lessons.
• Maintains lesson plans aligned with industry standards and the Training Achievement Record.
