Accurus Aerospace Athens is seeking an entry‑level CNC Machine Operator Trainee in Athens, GA. You will learn setup, operation, inspection, and basic troubleshooting on CNC machining centers under experienced mentors.

The 90‑day training program runs day shift, Monday through Friday. Upon successful completion, you may advance to CNC Machine Operator Levels I–III and transition to full‑time day, night, or weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• History of consistent employment with minimal gaps.
• Completed internal training for Level I–III Operators and recertification as required.
• Experience using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision measuring equipment preferred.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and technical instructions preferred.
• Experience using cranes or forklifts and similar heavy handling equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates CNC machines and trains under supervision.
• Interprets blueprints and setup sheets to prep jobs.
• Performs daily checks and reports issues to supervisor.
• Adjusts feeds, speeds, and tooling to meet spec.
• Maintains clean, safe work area and uses PPE.
• Witnesses and records quality inspections during production.
