Job summary

Mountain Machining is seeking skilled CNC machinists to operate mills and lathes, inspect parts with precision measuring tools, and follow GD&T blueprints for aerospace and automotive components.

You will maintain a clean workspace, assist setup/teardown, document process improvements, and adapt to Lean manufacturing principles while occasionally working overtime.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills required.
• Able to read and understand engineering blueprints (GD&T).
• Must be mechanically inclined and detail oriented.
• Willing to work overtime and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mills and Lathes.
• Inspect parts with measuring equipment to ensure quality.
• Understand and apply machine tool offsets.
• Deburr parts as needed.
• Assist machinists with setup and teardown.
• Maintain clean and organized workspace.
• Document processes for setup improvements.

Available Shift: 10-hour day shift (Mon-Thurs) 3pm-1:30am

Main responsibilities/duties:

• Operation of CNC Mills and Lathes
• Regularly inspect parts using a variety of measuring equipment to maintain acceptable quality levels
• Ability to understand execute machine tool offsets
• Deburr parts as needed
• Keep up on regular machine maintenance
• Assist machinists in machine setup and teardown
• Maintain a clean and organized work space
• Keep record of pertinent information for shift change and communicate all important information to your supervisor
• Document processes pertaining to running and/or improvements made to setup or operating the machines you run
