Job summary

Mountain Machining is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to operate mills and lathes and perform dimensional inspections for high-quality parts. The role emphasizes reading GD&T blueprints, using precision measuring tools, and maintaining a clean, efficient workspace on a 10-hour day shift (Mon-Thurs) from 5am to 3:30pm.

You will support machinists in setup and teardown, document processes, and contribute to ongoing improvements while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills require precise calculations and measuring.
• Ability to read, follow and understand engineering blueprints (GD&T).
• Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gages.
• Detail oriented with careful inspection and documentation.
• Willing to work overtime when needed and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Mills and Lathes.
• Regularly inspect parts with measuring equipment to maintain quality.
• Understand and apply machine tool offsets.
• Deburr parts as needed and perform routine maintenance.
• Assist machinists with setup and teardown of machines.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.

Available Shift: 10-hour day shift (Mon-Thurs) 5am-3:30pm

Main responsibilities/duties:

• Operation of CNC Mills and Lathes
• Regularly inspect parts using a variety of measuring equipment to maintain acceptable quality levels
• Ability to understand execute machine tool offsets
• Deburr parts as needed
• Keep up on regular machine maintenance
• Assist machinists in machine setup and teardown
• Maintain a clean and organized work space
• Keep record of pertinent information for shift change and communicate all important information to your supervisor
• Document processes pertaining to running and/or improvements made to setup or operating the machines you run
