Kelly Services in North Charleston, SC is hiring a Machine Operator - Placement to join a premier manufacturing client. The role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment including a CNC press brake (Amada), gantry mill, and punch press/laser.

You should have 2+ years of programming and setup experience, strong ability to read 2D prints and 3D models, and proficiency with CAT40 tooling and measurement instruments.

• 2+ years of programming and setup experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Familiar with cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and CAT40 tooling setup.
• Experience using measurement instruments to verify quality.
• Excellent verbal communication and time management skills.
• Adaptable to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and high quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment (Press Brake, Gantry mill, Punch Press/Laser).
• Read and interpret 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions.
• Apply knowledge of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and CAT40 tooling setup.
• Verify components meet requirements using measurement instruments.
• Communicate with production leads and collaborate with Quality, Environmental, and H&S teams.
• Inspect production parts and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards.
