Carolinas Staffing is looking for Setup Machinists in Leland, NC!

Job Summary: The CNC Machinist is responsible for the machining of products to meet customer specifications. Operation of the machining centers and medium to complex setups would be done by selecting and installing tooling, updating fixturing, and pulling CNC Lathe and Mill machining programs.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Must be familiar with the machine controls and be able to perform setups of medium complexity.
• Load parts (Ability to load and run parts per Manufacturing plan or Product Specifications)
• Monitor tooling wear and changing tools as required per tool life monitoring.
• Inspect parts with mechanical gauges (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pins, etc.)
• Perform setups on production parts (non‑CFA, FA or SCR jobs)
• Perform tool and offset changes during setup in order to submit a passing internal first article to QA.
• Responsible for utilizing shop paper procedure including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non‑conformance related activities.
• Able to read all blueprint call outs and understand them.
• Advanced knowledge of GD&T – Understand relationship to Print, Program and Set up to achieve GD&T call outs.

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Two years’ experience either in a production or job shop environment.
• Must be very well versed in four and five axis machining.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, push, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
• Frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must have experience with CNC machines.

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 Per Hour depending on experience.

Hours/Shifts:

• 1st shift – Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day, 6 am to 4:30 pm.
• 2nd shift – Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day, 4 pm to 2:30 am.
• Weekend – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 12 hours per day, 6 am to 6 pm (two lunch breaks paid).
