Job summary

PTMW Inc. is seeking a competent CNC Machine Operator to join the PFAB team in Topeka, KS. The role focuses on safely using CNC machinery to perform drilling, grinding and milling tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.

You will set up machines per blueprints, read specifications, load materials, and inspect finished parts to ensure quality. The position requires physical capability and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Strong mathematical skills including fractional/decimal conversions.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity test and breath alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Load raw materials into CNC machines.
• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand by reading blueprints and drawings.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with company guidelines.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process is complete.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed.
