Kelly Services in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Machine Operator – Placement to join a premier manufacturing client. The role focuses on programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality parts in a safety-first environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of programming and setup experience, strong reading of technical drawings, and familiarity with CAT40 tooling and cutting tools speeds/feeds.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of programming and setup experience on machine operation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and work instructions.
• Familiarity with cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and CAT40 tooling setup.
• Experience using measurement instruments to verify quality.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC press brake (Amada), gantry mill, or CNC punch press/laser.
• Read 2D prints, 3D models, and work instructions.
• Apply cutting tools, speeds/feeds, and CAT40 tooling setup.
• Verify parts meet requirements using basic measurement instruments.
• Communicate with production leads and coordinate with Quality, Environmental, and H&S teams.
• Inspect production parts and maintain a clean, safe work area.
