Qualifications

• 3 years of machining experience preferred.
• Experience in precision manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to set up, troubleshoot, and operate CNC mills or lathes.
• Strong blueprint reading and measuring skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and conventional machining equipment.
• Complete machine setup including fixturing, work offsets, tool building, and tool setting.
• Load, interpret, and troubleshoot M & G codes and CNC programs.
• Proof programs and make machine adjustments as needed during production.
• Read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions.
• Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, plug gauges, and other measuring equipment.
• Identify tooling, inserts, and adjustments needed for production changeovers.
• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to ensure part quality and productivity.
• Record productivity data and complete first article inspections.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, supervisors, and production teams to resolve floor-level issues.
• Follow all plant safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.

Job description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking experienced Machinist I candidates to support CNC machining operations for a leading manufacturing facility in Lexington, SC. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC and conventional machining equipment while ensuring high-quality production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Pay Rate: $25

Shift: 1st Shift | Overtime as Required

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and conventional machining equipment
