Responsibilities

• Machine tending: safely load/unload parts from CNC machine and prep area for next cycle.
• In-process inspection: perform quality checks using calipers/micrometers and alert lead Machinist to anything out of tolerance.
• Deburring and finishing: use hand tools to deburr, clean, and prepare parts for next fabrication step.
• Program support: assist senior CNC operators with tool touches and basic offset adjustments.
• Maintenance support: keep work cell clean and manage chips/coolant levels.

Your responsibilities

• Machine tending: safely load and unload parts from the CNC machine, ensuring the machining area is clear and ready for the next cycle.
• In-process inspection: perform continuous quality checks on finished parts using calipers and micrometers, immediately alerting the lead machinist to any parts out of tolerance.
• Deburring and finishing: use hand tools to deburr, clean, and prepare machined components for the next step in the fabrication process.
• Program support: assist senior CNC operators with simple tasks like touching off tools and making basic offset adjustments.
• Maintenance support: maintain a clean work cell, including managing chips, coolant levels, and general machine cleanliness.
