Klein Tools is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator III to produce machined parts by setting up and running complex CNC mills and lathes in a safety‑conscious, quality‑driven shop in Trevose, PA. You will load programs, adjust tooling, verify dimensions, and document operations to maintain high standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining tool life, keeping a neat 5S workspace, and collaborating with team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Proficiency in basic math and trigonometry.

Job description

The CNC Machine Operator III is responsible for producing machined parts by settingup and running complex jobs on computer numerical control ﴾CNC﴿ lathe or millingmachines, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintainingequipment and supplies.

1. Operate drill presses, manual milling machines, CNC milling machines, manual lathes and CNC lathes.
2. Perform complex set‐up of CNC machines by loading programs, installing and adjusting chucks, cutting tools,attachments, tool holders, vises, collets, bushings, stops and stock pushers.
3. Make adjustments to the program as needed.
4. Load and unload raw materials and parts into the machine.
5. Verify settings by measuring positions, first‐run part, and sample workpieces adhering to company qualitystandards.
6. Inspect and measure finished product using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other machinist hand tools.
7. Compare finished product to drawing specifications to determine if they adhere to company quality standards.
8. Maintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling andthread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjustingcontrols; and replacing worn tools.
9. Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuingneeds.
10. Keep work area in clean and orderly condition, complying with established 5S standards.
11. Maintain a safe work environment to prevent on‐the‐job injuries by following and promoting company, OSHAand EPA rules and regulations, implementing machine safeguards, recognizing and reporting safety hazards andfollow all safety procedures and standards.
12. Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred and five ﴾5﴿ years of experience operating and programming CNC Mills or Lathes. Seven ﴾7﴿ years of experience is preferred.

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English. Proficiency in basic math and trigonometry. Ability to communicate and work as a team member. Ability to work independently with minimum to nosupervision. Ability to read and understand part and tool prints. Ability to use precision measuring tools and holdclose tolerances.

Physical Demand Requirements

Required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands andarms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee mustoccasionally lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include closevision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
