Job summary

Mueller Water Products is seeking a Machine Operator I to operate CNC lathes and mills, read blueprints and GD&T, and maintain quality and safety on the plant floor. This role requires the ability to setup tooling, measure parts, and document production logs, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.

You will work with Operations, Planning and Leadership to ensure KPIs are met, with opportunities to advance in a full-time manufacturing career at Mueller.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years operating CNC equipment in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Familiar with GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Basic CNC programming knowledge used for setup.
• Able to read engineering plans and machining parameters.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC lathe and mill machines to set up and run parts.
• Maintain quality and safety standards on the shop floor.
• Set up tooling, attachments, and stock pushers; verify equipment settings.
• Measure parts and ensure tolerances; document logs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with Operations to meet KPI targets.
