Job summary

Mueller Water Products, a leading water infrastructure company, seeks a Machine Operator I to operate CNC lathes and mills, interpret blueprints and GD&T, and ensure quality and safety standards on a standing shift.

Responsibilities include setting up equipment, measuring parts, maintaining logs, and collaborating with Operations to meet production KPIs. Requires 3+ years CNC experience and a High School Diploma or GED.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years operating CNC equipment in industrial/manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpolate GD&T; set up mills and lathes with tooling and fixtures.
  • Capable of maintaining quality and safety standards; perform preventive maintenance and document logs.

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints, engineering plans, materials specs and machining parameters (GD&T).
  • Set up mills and lathes with tools, attachments, and feeds; load stock and fixtures.
  • Verify settings by measuring positions and first-run parts; document actions and logs.
  • Maintain safety and perform preventive maintenance; collaborate with Operations to meet KPI targets.
