Primary Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce valve components to specified tolerances.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper machine operation and part accuracy.
  • Adjust machine settings and offsets as needed.
  • Perform routine checks with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify parts meet tolerances and print standards.
  • Conduct basic operator care, troubleshoot CNC machines, and minimize downtime.
  • Report mechanical or operational issues to the supervisor or team lead.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts from machines.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records, including job travelers and check sheets.
  • Change out machine tools, inserts, and other components.
  • Follow machine shop safety policies and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Work safely in the manufacturing production environment.
  • Follow detailed verbal or written assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Fill out basic forms, reports, and label products related to job duties.
  • Communicate and work effectively with others.
  • Provide hands‑on and verbal training to coworkers as needed.
  • Report quality, process, equipment, and material problems to the Production Supervisor or management.
  • Record daily work performed and distribution of work time.
  • Use software systems as needed to complete job duties.
  • Contribute to a culture of high‑quality products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other job‑related duties as directed by the supervisor per company policies.
Job Expectations
  • Hands‑on work and use of personal protective equipment.
  • Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (and up to 50 pounds when pressing).
  • Work in extreme temperatures.
  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Use power tools, air tools, and vibrating equipment.
  • Operate around hot, heavy machinery.
  • Work from a standing position for extended periods.
  • Move materials using a powered vehicle (forklift).
  • Repetitive standing, bending, turning, and twisting for extended periods.
  • Pass a basic aptitude test, physical, drug/alcohol test, and background check.
  • Be available to work all shifts, including possible mandatory overtime on weekends.
  • Have prior experience with CNC or manual machines in a manufacturing setting.
