Job summary

Acara Solutions seeks a CNC Machine Operator for an onsite position in Grand Prairie, TX. This temporary 7-month assignment requires at least 2 years of CNC machine experience and a High School Diploma or GED.

You will measure parts, replace tools, align fixtures, and adjust machines for optimal performance, with pay at $21 per hour and standard 40 hours per week in first shift. Applicants will be subject to background checks and drug screening, and must be legally eligible to work in the United

Responsibilities

• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Remove and replace dull cutting tools.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines.
• Listen to machines to detect issues and adjust settings as needed.
• Adjust machine feed and speed and change tools when needed.
• Stop machines to change tooling or work pieces according to sequences.
• Lift work pieces manually or with hoists or cranes.
• Modify cutting programs to account for problems and save changes.
• Calculate machine speed and feed ratios and positions of cuts.
• Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation.

Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite for our client in Grand Prairie, TX. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
• Remove and replace dull cutting tools.
• Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Listen to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
• Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction.
• Stop machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to necessary machining sequences.
• Lift work pieces to machines manually, or with hoists or cranes.
• Modify cutting programs to account for problems encountered during operation and save modified programs.
• Calculate machine speed and feed ratios, and the size and position of cuts.
• Insert control instructions into machine control units to start operation.
