Job summary

Watts Water Technologies in Franklin, NH is seeking a CNC Operator to operate lathes and milling machines on the third shift (9pm – 5:30am), onsite at the Franklin facility. You will monitor multiple CNC machines, ensure product specifications meet QA standards, and document results for the Supervisor.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, experience reading blueprints, and familiarity with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and standard safety practices.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Operate CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) equipment including lathes and milling machines.
  • Monitor multiple CNC machines and other auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform machining tasks as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Check and document product specifications as determined by Quality Assurance and the Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, plug gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • Experience reading blueprints.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
  • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including criminal and employment verification, and pass a pre-employment drug test as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands‑on experience operating CNC lathes and/or CNC milling machines in a production environment.
  • Experience replacing and troubleshooting worn tooling.
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.

Working Conditions

Third Shift Hours: 9pm – 5:30am with overtime per business need. This position is onsite based in Franklin, NH. You will be required to work at the Company’s Franklin, NH location. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.

Physical Requirements
  • Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
  • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
