Job summary

GFMCO, LLC in Columbus, GA is seeking a Machine Shop Assistant CNC Operator for 2nd shift to support ductile iron parts. You will operate CNC machines, load/unload material, check tolerances with gauges, and follow safety and quality procedures.

Candidates with 1 year CNC experience preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required; must stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; reliable transportation provided for commute; training on Fanuc or Mazatrol controllers will be provided.

Qualifications

• 1 year CNC machining experience preferred.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Operate computer-controlled machines to perform one or more functions on ductile iron pieces.
• Properly load and unload material and parts in CNC machine.
• Use gauges and measuring equipment to maintain tolerance requirements.
• Maintain high quality workmanship, quantity, and cycle time.
• Understand and interpret G-code programming.
