Job summary

Plastic Ingenuity is hiring an Entry-Level Tooling Machinist in Wisconsin to learn directly from seasoned machinists and toolmakers while developing essential skills in precision grinding, drilling, milling, turning, and CNC operations. You will participate in building and maintaining molds and tooling used across manufacturing projects.

Qualifications

  • Technical coursework, certification, or degree in Machining, Manufacturing, Tool & Die, Machine Tool Technology, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a machine shop, manufacturing environment, internship, or technical program.
  • Familiarity with basic machining tools and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Sharpen and maintain tooling components using precision grinding equipment.
  • Assist with drilling, milling, turning, and CNC machining.
  • Read and interpret prints, measurements, and specifications.
  • Maintain quality standards and follow safe work practices.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and work areas organized and ready for use.
  • Collaborate with tooling, engineering, and production teams to solve problems and improve processes.

What You'll Do

As an Entry-Level Tooling Machinist, you'll work alongside experienced machinists and toolmakers while developing valuable technical skills.

You'll Have The Opportunity To
  • Learn how to sharpen and maintain tooling components using precision grinding equipment
  • Assist with machining operations including drilling, milling, turning, and CNC machining
  • Help build, repair, and maintain molds and tooling used in manufacturingLearn CNC machine setup and make basic program adjustments
