Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and/or written specifications for a job.
• Write programs and apply machine tool math.
• Understand and monitor the feed rate and speed of machine.
• Set-up controls and make the cuts to make machined parts.
• Ensure machine is working properly through standard preventative maintenance procedures and to ensure proper feeding, cutting, cooling and lubricating during operation.
• Utilize specialized inspection tools to check tolerances.
• Understand and maintain QC procedures.
• Work within a Lean Manufacturing Environment and keep the area clean and safe.
• Follow ISO procedures.

Job Summary

MMG machine operators produce a variety of precision metal parts primarily from Aluminum, Steel, Brass, and Copper, using computer numerically-controlled (CNC) machine tools such as Vertical and Horizontal Milling Machines as well as Conventional, Multi-Op and Swiss Style Lathes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and/or written specifications for a job
• Write programs and apply machine tool math
• Understand and monitor the feed rate and speed of machine
• Set-up controls and make the cuts to make machined parts
• Ensure machine is working properly through standard preventative maintenance procedures
  and to make certain machine is properly feeding, cutting, cooling and lubricating part while in
  operation
• Utilize specialized inspection tools to check tolerances
• Understand and maintain QC procedures
• Work within a visual Lean Manufacturing Environment/System; maintain as clean and safe
  work environment
• Understand and follow all ISO procedures
• Must follow procedures and execute tasks assigned by Team Leader
• Must comply with ALL Company code of conduct, safety and procedural rules and regulations
