Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a CNC Machine Operator (Mill/Lathe) in Largo, FL. You will operate CNC Mills and Lathes per the daily schedule, ensuring safety and quality, and assisting with setups.

Requirements include 2+ years in production, good math skills, and attention to detail. Shifts 3:15PM–11:45PM, pay $19-$21/hr DOE, on-site with full benefits through Express.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of production/manufacturing experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and use basic shop math.
• Willingness to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read specifications or blueprints to set up machines and determine material needs.
• Maintain high quality and production output with accurate measurements.
• Report defects or malfunctions to shift lead and document issues.
• Conduct quality audits using calipers, height gauges and micrometers.
• Operate hand tools to deburr parts and assist in machine setup.

CNC Machine Operator (Mill/Lathe)

Job Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team! You will be responsible for operating CNC Mills and/or Lathes machinery, including various other production equipment according to the daily production schedule. You must adhere to PTI’s safety standards, practices and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Read job specifications or blueprints to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Maintain great quality and production output
• Reports work piece defects or machine malfunction to shift lead
• Conduct regular quality audits of parts produced by measuring and inspecting components to tight tolerances with calipers, drop indicators, height gauges and micrometers
• Operates hand tools to remove burrs and sharp edges from parts
• Assists in machine set up

Requirements

• 2+ years previous production, manufacturing or related experience in an industrial setting
• Ability to effectively utilize basic shop math skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Performs duties with minimal supervision
• Fine hand motor skills
• Team player
• Self-motivated and quick learner
• High School diploma or GED required

• 2+ years previous production, manufacturing or related experience in an industrial setting

Physical Demands

• This position requires standing on your feet for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis.

Education

• Ability to understand, speak, and read English clearly.

Schedule & Pay

• $19 - $21/hr DOE
• 3:15PM – 11:45PM M-F training 1st shift or 1st week 7am -3:30pm
