Acara Solutions is seeking a CNC Operator for the 2nd shift in Grand Prairie, TX. This temp-to-direct role involves setup, operation, and monitoring of CNC machines to produce precision components in a fast-paced environment.

You will read blueprints, adjust feeds and speeds, perform quality checks, and assist with kitting and part handling. The position offers competitive hourly pay with shift differential and potential long-term career growth.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–3 years of CNC Operator experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 1–3 years of kitting, inventory control, and cycle count experience.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and use tools.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of Mill experience.

Responsibilities

  • Measure finished workpieces with precision instruments to ensure specifications.
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tooling on CNC machines.
  • Monitor CNC performance and identify issues.
  • Adjust feeds, speeds, and controls to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Modify cutting programs to resolve machining challenges.
  • Perform in-process and final quality inspections.
  • Support production as a Kitter by organizing parts for assembly carts.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety procedures.

Compensation: $19.15/hr ($18.45 base + $0.70 shift differential)
Shift Schedule: 2nd shift | Monday-Friday | 40 Hours per Week

What You’ll Do
  • Measure finished workpieces using precision measuring instruments, fixtures, and templates to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Mount, install, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and fixtures on CNC machines to support efficient production operations.
  • Monitor CNC machine performance and identify operational issues through machine indicators and sound.
  • Make machine adjustments, including feed rates, speeds, and operational controls, to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
  • Modify cutting programs as needed to resolve machining challenges and support production requirements.
  • Perform in‑process and final quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Support production operations as a Kitter by collecting, organizing, and sorting fabricated parts for assembly cart preparation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures, manufacturing processes, and quality requirements to ensure operational excellence.
