Job summary

Perigee Manufacturing Company, Inc. in Detroit, MI is seeking an experienced machinist to operate CNC Lathes and CNC Mills in a precision manufacturing environment. The role requires hands-on setup, tool changes, and accurate measurement with calipers and micrometers to ensure part quality.

Applicants must have at least 3 years on CNC Lathes & Mills and 1 year on Miyano CNC Lathes, with a strong commitment to safety, attendance, and teamwork in a fast-paced shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years experience on CNC Lathes & Mills.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience on Miyano CNC Lathes.
• Good working knowledge of all CNC machine functions.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC Lathes & CNC Mills
• Follow specific work, process, safety instructions and procedures
• Complete control charts, process paperwork correctly and efficiently
• Exhibit strong work ethic and attendance record
• Maintain organized/clean work area
• Physically able to perform duties of the job; lift up to 50#
• Able to change, set, and touch off tools
• Strong ability to use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc)
• Excellent problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Good communication skills and team mentality
