Job Description / Responsibilities

The Machine Operator is responsible for:

1. Operating various milling, fabrication, and turning machinery and equipment, as assigned, to manufacture parts to required specifications.
2. Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy to the required specifications and completing assigned inspection and job traveler paperwork.
3. Ensuring finished parts move to the next operation upon completion.
4. Informing the Machining Lead of any problems or improvements in the manufacturing process.
5. Performing general workmanship tasks including deburring and cleaning finished parts.
6. Maintaining good housekeeping practices, including cleaning the work area and inspection equipment.
7. Performing other tasks as assigned.

Job Skills & Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Basic math skills and basic blueprint reading.
• Basic understanding of machine programs and ability to make tool offsets.
• Knowledge of SDS sheets and basic machine shop safety protocols.
• Ability to stand for at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.
