Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to own setup, program editing, and first‑article processing for high‑tolerance components in a precision shop. You will read complex drawings, interpret GD&T, and select tooling and fixturing to consistently meet stringent specs.

You will drive efficiency by tuning programs, reducing cycle times, and guiding teammates through problem solving in a forward‑looking manufacturing environment that values craftsmanship and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years CNC machining with setup and on-machine program editing responsibilities.
  • Fluency in reading prints and interpreting GD&T.
  • Experience with aluminum, stainless, titanium, Inconel, and other specialty alloys.
  • Strong troubleshooting mindset with a quality-first approach.

Responsibilities

  • Set up CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers and drive parts to first‑article acceptance.
  • Read drawings and GD&T, and verify features with precision gauges and CMMs.
  • Tune and edit programs to improve quality, reduce cycle times, and extend tool life.
  • Oversee production runs, dialing in offsets and making real-time adjustments to hold tight tolerances.
  • Mentor less experienced teammates and contribute to process improvements.
