Job description

CNC Machinist Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain precision equipment (drills, lathes, and mills) for accurate product manufacturing.
• Program precision equipment according to per-job specifications.
• Get information from all relevant sources and apply the latest knowledge to the work.
• Perform inspections of equipment, materials, and products.
• Analyze information and find the best solutions to problems.
• Maintain clear and honest communication at all times.
• Keep the work environment safe.

CNC Machinist Skills:

• Understands the operations of drills, lathes, and milling equipment.
• Problem-solving skills: Know why machines aren’t at peak performance, how to increase output, and how to fix errors.
• Attention to detail: Work with precision equipment; measurements have tight tolerances. Being off could be a critical error.
• Mechanical and technical skills: Machines controlled by computers will need operators who understand CAD/CAM tech.
• Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills; read schematics, blueprints, and other documentation.
• Understanding of mathematics.

• Stamina: Often work long hours doing repetitive movements.

Employment Details:

- Full-time, Day Shift 6:00 am to 2:30 pm with overtime opportunities.

- Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.

- Compensation: $15.00 to $25.00 /hour dependent on experience.
